THE WORK OF THE HOLY  SPIRIT.

Spirit of Almighty God,

Teach and show me God’s ways.                    

Help me be pure like You,

To worship God in actions, praise.

Teach me of humility,

To never be too proud to kneel.

Teach me how to talk to God,

And tell Him how I really feel.

 

Instill, in me, the need to be

Fair to all who are in need.

Remove my blinders to the races,

Accepting those of every Creed.

 

Give me skills to help the wounded;

Feed the people, hungry still;

Clothe the ones in need of clothing;

Try to carry out God’s will.

 

Help me not to render judgment,

On the people I don’t know,

To use compassion in my dealings,

With the differences that show.

 

Be a light to me in darkness.                                    

A hand to hold when I’m lost.

Inspire me to be more loving,

And never stop to count the cost.

 

Fill me with trust, and laughter, 

Lots of hope, humility.

Give my soul a gentle cleansing.

Teach me how to be like Thee..
