Found on Pinterest on 10-12-16. Dan Ashbach. Autumn- a walk in the woods.

Days grow shorter in October

When the wind blows from the North.

Autumn leaves drift gently downward

As tall trees bend back and forth.

Breezes dance across my face

And leave cold kisses on my cheeks.

I feel alive as I walk

The forest floor where Nature speaks.

Joy arises in my soul

When I touch trees with my hands.

I feel a part of tree and wind.

Few people really understand.

Come and listen to the silence.

Feel God’s Spirit all-a-round.

When you walk in the forest,

Know you’re touching sacred ground.

God created a Garden

Veronique-coutie. Found on Pinterest-3-8-19.

With such infinite care.

He filled it with lovely trees

And flowers that were rare.

He stood near a lofty giant

And touched its bark with His hands.

He could feel the tree sap flowing

As He gazed toward distant lands.

He carved the earth for a river

That would water the plants that grew

Throughout the Garden of Eden

That He had made brand new.

He was pleased when the river filled

With the rain He caused to fall

Over the grasses and flowers

And where the trees stood tall.

God walked in the cool of the evening

After the sun went down.

He enjoyed the beauty of summer

And sleeping on the ground.

Yet, He found something was missing

Found on Pinterest on 6-21-18. Nature Walkz.com. By Christopher Gandy.

That would make it more complete.

So He created the birds to sing

Sweet notes they could repeat.

And the world was far more lovely

When He placed stars in the sky

And a moon to lighten the darkness

As the night drew nigh.

God loved what He had created

And was happy for a while,

But something was still missing.

He longed for another’s smile.

God created human companions

Who could love and converse with Him,

And  share in the beautiful music

Of the heavenly seraphim.

The breeze is cool

against my skin

and is filled with

the smells of summer.

Flowers dance in the wind

while the sun kisses my face

like some long-forgotten love

from my adolescence.

Veronique-coutie.

Trees lift their branches

toward heaven and drink in

the golden rays of the sun.

Butterflies flit from

flower to flower

while sipping sweet nectar.

The smell  of honeysuckle,

 on the backyard fence,

floats on the air currents

and enters my nose.

Sweet memories are reawakened:

Tart lemonade sliding down

the throat  in one tasty gulp;

Red ripe watermelon

chilled to perfection;

The sound of whippoorwills calling

out near dusk;

The laughter of children playing

Hide and Seek at night;

and the gentle guitar strings

kissing the darkness

with love songs.

There is truly nothing like,

Indiana in the summertime.

Renewal In Life.

Trees are a lot like people.

We see them every where.

Some are tall and some are small,

And some are very rare.

Trees shelter wildlife from the cold.

Some people give to those in need.

God has a purpose for each thing,

Every embryo and seed.

Found on Nature Addicts on 11-6-18. Taken by Michelle Steenburn. Red, White, and Blue. Also found on Facebook Timeline.

Trees face the elements alone

And stand tall in the rain.

People learn they must endure

And stand despite their pain.

Trees do reflect life’s changes

In the budding of a leaf,

The growth that comes in living,

And the loss of leaves in grief.

Most people live their whole lives

With changes happening.

They dream of an eternal life

With every coming spring.

Both tree and man show moments

Of beauty and pure grace,

Brilliant leaves and shinning deeds

That no one can erase.

They know when death comes

To trees and mankind,

Renewal is still possible

For those we leave behind.

When the world becomes too heavy

To carry on your back, my child,

Take some time to leave behind

All your worries in the Wild.

Learn to travel in the forest.

Name the trees that you see.

Lie beneath them and study

Bark and leaves from every tree.

Kneel and study moss and lichens.

It’s a place where fairies play.

Ponder every tiny insect

As you walk along your way.

While the light fades to darkness,

Build a fire in a safe place.

Warm your fingers by the flames.

Thank God for this sacred space.

Learn to gaze upon the night sky.

Watch the stars blink and shine.

All your troubles will seem small,

As you sleep beneath the Pine.

Gifts from God’s treasure store.

Nature has the power to heal us

And teach us so much more.

The River bends and curves

Around the neighborhood.

It ripples and swiftly flows

Like a beautiful river should.

Found on Facebook Timeline on July 31, 2016. Johanna Hurand.

A pure white egret stands

On one foot, admiring the view.

It’s graceful long neck

Is like a song sung in cue.

Geese swim in the cold water,

Their wings lift, churning the air.

One glides behind the other.

Their flight is like a prayer.

New life appears on the trees

That grow close to the shore.

Tender leaves dance and sway

Down by the river’s roar.

Beauty lies all around me,

As the world falls apart.

Storms are on the horizon,

But hope remains in my heart.

Autumn comes on tip-toe this year

In the waning days of October.

The cold wind blows into Kansas,

And animals grow more fur.

Found on Google+ on 11-6-15. 1monique-breva.

The air smells crisp and clean,

And when the rain comes,

It falls gently on

The yellow chrysanthemums.

The rain holds wonderful scents

That reflect the treasures  of earth.

Yellow, orange, and red leaves dance

While children laugh with mirth.

Trees catch the last rays of the sun,

And leaves fall to the ground.

Death touches all living things

And leaves without a sound.

There was a young owl

Found on Facebook Timeline. Nicole Froese. Canada Manitoba Winnipeg. Saved from Country and Farm Photography, on 5-11-17.

That lived in a tree,

And he was as fuzzy

As he could be.

His eyes were big,

And his beak was small.

His toes gripped a branch

On a tree that was tall.

He could see from a distance

From his high perch,

That supper was coming

In a ground search.

He loved the moon

And the beautiful night.

He could find his way home

With the glow of starlight.

So he sat in the tree

And twisted his head,

Found on Pinterest on 5-13-17. Darrel Gulin Photography.

To let the owls know

He was about to be fed.

With one fell swoop,

He snatched his prey

And swallowed him whole,

In his unique way.

He preened his soft feathers

As he stuck out his chest.

Loudly he hooted,

“This hunter’s the best!”

A small child wandered through the forest

Looking for hope, hungry for a bit of faith

That something existed bigger than her.

She needed to find a reason for being.

Found on Pinterest on 4-29-17. bonitavista.tumblr.com. Mayford Woods, CrewKerne, Somerset.

She leaned against a giant tree

And put her arms around its trunk.

She closed her eyes and tried to rest.

After an hour had passed, she noticed

The bark of the tree was rough.

Insects scurried back and forth

In between the ridges in the bark.

The tree provided shelter and food

For the insects passing by.

She breathed in the cool air

And embraced the solitude that

Surrounded her in the forest glade.

A bird flew above her head

And perched on the tree’s branches.

Found on Facebook Timeline on 8-8-16. Rocky Mountain Angel.

Nearby, came the chirps from a nest

Hidden in a canopy of leaves and twigs.

Again, this tree was providing shelter

For many of the creatures in the forest.

The child could feel the energy coming

From the heart and soul of the tree.

She could feel its unique vibrations

Enter her body and expand her soul,

Until she too felt as one with the tree.

“I feel renewed,” she cried.

Found on Pinterest on 4-30-17. Saved from an article on facilisimo.com.

“This energy is bigger than me.

I too, am made by God’s hand

To provide support for those

In need of renewal and hope.”

“All of us are  part of the whole,”

She said.
