I am lost in a world

Of people and sounds.

I drift without direction.

I am tossed like the wind

By a multitude of emotions

In a treacherous sea

Of helplessness and rage.

 

I am tired of waiting for that

Which does not exist

In a world filled

With conflict and strife.

I have searched in vain,

In all the wrong places,

For answers and peace.

 

I am in need of healing,                        

Healing of a different kind:

A healing of my soul,

And a letting go of

Attachments which

Blind me to who I am,

Apart from everything else.

 

I am tired of focusing

On things I cannot control,

Things that have happened,

A thousand lifetimes ago,

And broken promises

That cannot be fixed,

And love seldom found.

I return to my beginnings,

Where all things evolved.

Slowly and mindfully,

I move among

The dusty hallways of 

My innermost soul,

To find a Universe within.
