Life is full of joy and sorrow.
We never know what comes tomorrow.
We make plans with baited breath
While pushing back the hands of death.
We try to play the hero's part
With an arrow in our heart.

We gather flowers as we go.
The years fly by and bring us woe.
The losses come one by one,
And we feel our life is done.
We are told to carry on
And embrace the coming dawn.

We feel such emptiness within.
We weep for what life might have been.
Our hopes and dreams have flown away,
And still we're staying one more day.
Our courage keeps us living here
After losing all that's dear.

Do not cry for me when I have gone

To meet my Master by Heaven’s Gate.

Even though I’ll miss you so,

I will not hesitate

To let the angels carry me away

Beyond the shining stars

To learn my fate.

Do not weep for me, for I’m not here.

My pain is gone, and I am young again.

I run by rushing streams and fields of flowers

And stop to say “hello” to my old friend.

I listen to the angels sing their songs,

As I sit before the throne of God,

And feel my heart and soul begin to mend.

Do not spend your time in sorrow,

For I’ll be waiting here for you.

I’ll just be around the corner

Until your life is through.

We will all meet in Heaven,

When it is your time to come.

And God will make us anew.

There will always be hardships

That cause us great pain,

And droughts that will test us

Before we see rain.

There will always be childbirths

Filled with our screams

Before we are brought

The child of our dreams.

We often are given

Good things with the bad.

We cry tears of joy and

We cry when we’re sad.

When Christ died for us

To set us all free,

It gave me great joy

And left sadness in me.

Darkness falls with the coming of the night,

And the moon rises with a soft white light.

Birds twitter putting their young to sleep,

As insects, through the green leaves, creep.

Found on Pinterest on 10-11-16. Michael Botkins. Moonlight Nights. Saved from Kamyab. lr.

The night wind blows softly across my face,

And solitude wraps me in her warm embrace.

Although my heart lies heavy in my chest,

I make the time to take a needed rest.

Even though life holds pain and sorrow,

Nature’s gifts bring joy on the morrow.

All that’s needed is a mindful stance,

And giving Nature’s gifts a chance.

blessings, Disappointments, grief, happiness, Joy, love, Poetry by Yu/stan/kema., Risk and love., sadness

I have fought so many battles

Over all these years.

I’ve come to accept

Some days are filled with tears.

For when your kind spirit

Believes there’s good in men,

Despite acts of betrayal,

You don’t give in and sin.

The weight of disappointments

Breaks your heart in two.

Even with lots of blessings,

Grief steals a part of you.

Love can make you happy.

Giving brings you joy,

Yet it often brings great sorrow

And pain that can destroy.

To risk is a gamble,

But if you do not try,

You’ll wonder what you missed,

After your last “good-bye.”

The world is full

Of beautiful things:

A baby’s sweet laughter,

A soul that grows wings;

Found on Pinterest on 6-18-16. M. Bezjian.

A baby’s first word

And the emotion you feel,

When she says the word “Mama,

And love becomes real;

The smell of her hair

When your cheek lies against it;

The touch of her skin,

When you caress  her a bit;

Her scent when she’s clean,

And you rock her to sleep,

And the joy that comes

When gratitude runs deep.

You know there is nothing

On earth that can beat,

The feeling: ” this baby

Is yours to keep.”

Opposites In Life.

Both are found in life., Happiness and sadness., Joy, Joy and tears, love, Opposites in life, Poetry by Yu/stan/kema., the bad, the good

The wind is blowing fierce today.

It scatters debris from winter’s decay.

It’s breath is cold and sharp as a knife,

And reminds us that struggle’s a part of life.

We’d like for our days to be filled with joy,

And nothing in life that could annoy;

Years full of people who bring us love,

And cloudless skies with the sun above.

The truth is life is made up of years

That bring us both joy and tears.

We are given the good and often the bad.

Sometimes we’re happy and sometimes we’re sad.

What if each day was always the same:

Nobody  hugged us or called out our name;

Nobody laughed and nobody cried,

And people weren’t sick and nobody died.

Would we value the things we are given,

Or ask ourselves if life was worth livin’ ?

Sometimes it takes the opposites to see

Both are found in each destiny.

Peace comes to me in the morning

And alights soft as an angel’s wing.

Joy fills my heart to overflowing

And compels my soul to sing.

Love flows through me to my family

And out to a hurting world.

Patience teaches me to wait

For God’s plan to be unfurled.

Faith grows as time goes on,

And I leave the world behind.

I learn how to be more caring

With Jesus inside my mind.

Hope rises within my soul

Despite the gloom and the darkness.

For I know all of us can reflect

The light of God’s great goodness.

Follow me, over the rainbow

And the mountains high.

Follow me, over the ocean.

We’ll soar in the bluest sky.

Burrow deep in the soil,

Where precious crystals grow.

We’ll harvest the finest gems

That can be found below.

Bring our hands together

To create a peaceful earth,

And celebrate a new start

Where every one has worth.

Unified we can conquer

All the perils of the past,

And find new joy in striving

For love that will last.

FINDING WHAT WE ARE BORN TO DO.

In life, we end up trying out multiple things to see if we enjoy doing them. We also tend to do again what we are successful in accomplishing. But what is rare in life is to find something we are passionate about, something in life we are born to do.

We can feel the difference inside our bodies, our minds, and our souls. Our attention becomes focused on that which we love. We can feel a rhythm in our body and a heightened awareness inside our innermost self. It almost feels like our soul is dancing with the universe. We are driven  to be more, and we touch joy while we are doing the thing we are born to do. Our mind, body and soul unite while doing it. We become transformed and renewed by what we feel and are.

The girl dressed as a flower in the picture is performing ballet. She is focused and feels an inner rhythm. She literally believes she is a flower for a period of time. She is dancing with the universe and she feels the magic. We feel the magic too while watching her.

There is nothing like it when we do what we are meant to do. We feel alive and happy. We also feel like we are giving to others the best of what we are. We are giving the gift of ourselves and we are creating magic from within our soul. We offer that gift to the world.
