Forgiveness is not easy

at any age we try,

for we often carry with us

harsh feelings til we die.

Found on 2-3-16. Facebook Timeline. Sojourners Path.

It takes a little patience,

and it takes a hurting heart

that wants to reconcile

what tears you both apart.

Is the person who hurt you,

important in your life?

What do you gain or lose

by keeping up the strife?

It takes an honest soul

willing to look inside

and own part of the blame,

while swallowing one’s pride.

There must be restitution

and a need to apologize,

a mindset toward acceptance

and a want to compromise.

We all need forgiveness,

to feel peace within;

Even God will forgive us

when we stumble and sin.

If God who is Holy

can accept us when we fall,

why should we hesitate

to tear down a wall?

He came down from the mountain,

with power and strength in his stride.

His face was tired but joyful,

as he released  the tears inside.

Found on Facebook Timeline on 8-1-16.

His Spirit had been walking

with the wind that swirled around him.

The smell of Mother Earth clung

from his skin as the daylight dimmed.

He had walked to the summit

to see the River below.

God said, “Your life is not over,”

“There is still time to grow.”

He buried his past behind him,

and followed the trail down.

He moved with the grace of a leopard,

his feet not making a sound.

He built his home by the River.

He gave God’s love from his heart.

He wanted to share his values

with others from the start.

He believed others would see

his internal wealth.

All he really wanted was

acceptance for himself.

He trusted the goodness of others

He let his guard slip away.

He was shot in the back with an arrow.

He died later that day.

They buried him near the summit,

where he longed to roam again.

They said he died friendless,

but he loved until the end.

Good night, good night, my sweet child,

God’s angels will protect you.

May you greet the morning light,

With flowers kissed with dew.

Found on Facebook Timeline on 7-16-16.

Lift up your rested head, my child,

While birds sing songs of gladness.

God brings lovely things your way

To take away your sadness.

Though life can have stormy skies,

It also has bright sunshine

To light up your darkest days.

So, leave your troubles behind.

Love will come to you, my child,

When you least expect it.

Just keep a receptive heart

To house the Holy Spirit.

For someday soon, God will come

And take you home with Him.

You will fly through sapphire skies,

Hear songs from the Seraphim.

Across the years of life sublime.

Sometimes we see not blessings sent

And fail to taste each moment

That is given us by God

As across the earth we trod,

Searching for what might have been

When our treasure lies within.

Oh, if we could only see

That real love can set us free.

But our fears blind us anew

From the things we know are true.

What a life we could create

If we did not hesitate,

To speak the words we feel inside

And overcome our foolish pride.

As the darkness falls.

Sing out a note,

Always remember,

Your voice is a gift.

It brings great joy

To the spirits you lift.

With each song you sing

And notes you release,

Your songs bring comfort

To those who need peace.

And are struggling to live.

Your singing can help

Someone become whole.

The Meaning Of Fear

Fear comes creeping up

From the corridors of time

And whacks me on my back.

The blow is so hard my teeth rattle,

And my heart feels dislodged.

Fear roams inside my chest cavity,

Causing my pulse to quicken and

My breath to stop inside  these

paralyzed muscles covering my rib cage.

.

Fear is triggered by circumstances

Beyond my control as a human being.

Things can happen that I can’t predict,

And so I struggle to hold on to what

Dignity and courage I might still posses,

In an aging body that has been ravaged

By the cruel hands of time.

Will I face pain or death bravely,

Or cry and hide in the shadows like a child?

Do I fight to survive, or let go of a life

I have already lived and lost so much in?

Have I achieved my reasons for being

In this world, and  have I lived according

To the tenets of my God and my Creator?

Or is there still something God requires

Of me, something still left undone,

Some song I still have left unsung?

If so, I’ll need God’s help to survive this.

     Life is fraught with surprises

Some are good and some are not.

     They can bring forth jubilation

Or life lessons we are taught.

It is up to us to take them,

As they come, one by one.

We must learn to deal with losses,

And hard battles we have won.

     Life is so uncertain.

     Many things can go awry.

      But it is so important,

      To persist and always try.

     For when we are broken

And the end seems so near,

    The storm clouds roll away,

And we can see our way clear.

Life can make us feel humble,

Or we  end up  feeling sure

Of the strength of our character,

       And our skills to endure.

Life is not for the weak.

      To survive we must be strong;

      Learn to trust each other

And admit when we are wrong.

For life is short, not endless,

And the moments fly so fast.

We must cling to human kindness,

        And forgive what is past.

It is only in the present,

We can drink life to its brim,

And reach out toward each other

         Before our eyes grow dim.

     THE WATERFALL

In the middle of a trauma,

I returned to the mountains

And the forests of Colorado,

Seeking refuge for a troubled soul.

Nerves on edge, skin prickling, and

With a heavy load of anxiety,

Random thoughts zipped across

The peripheral edges of my mind.

They became impossible to catch,

Let alone read in any coherent way.

Sweat covered my skin with a thin layer

Of cold perspiration and I shivered

In the shade of the pine trees.

Breathing was difficult as I walked.

I was alert to every sound in the forest.

I became aware of a roar, almost hidden,

By the sounds of birds calling out to each other.

The sounds were soft and tender like love notes

Being sent to one’s mate as a reminder that love

Beat in his heart, and he wanted the world to know.

The sound of falling water fell upon my ears,

The rushing of many streams flowing into one.

The roar filled my senses and l became aware of

Strength, power,  and an incredible feeling of joy.

Joy because the roar replaced my anxiety.

My thoughts slowed as I watched the water fall.

Watching each droplet separate from the other,

I felt my heartbeat slow to the sound  of the

Splatter of water hitting the rocks below.

I felt my muscles slowly unravel from being rigid.

Flowers of all different colors grew by the water.

Each flower filled my nose with a delightful aroma.

The sounds and sights blended into a place filled

With happiness and joy. Peace came in to my soul.

GIFTS FROM GOD

God created this world for me.

Found on Facebook Timeline on 8-1-16.

Found on Facebook Timeline on 8-1-16.

I see Him in the leaves

Of every single beautiful tree,

That moves with every breeze.

He lives among the mountain peaks,

And swims the ocean deep.

I hear him in the fields and creeks,

And all the birds that peep.

God created this world for me,

With every breath I take.

I see Him in my baby’s eyes

Whenever he’s awake.

I feel God’s presence as I rise

To create the things I make.

He gives me friends to comfort me

When losses bring heart-break.

God shows me that He really cares,

By being there for me.

His blessings come from time to time.

He’s there when I despair.

He’s in the smiles of those I greet,

And when I write a rhyme.

He’s with the friends that I meet.

My God is everywhere.

Love Is Found In The Little Things In Life.

Asking questions that have no answers., children, Facebook timeline photo, Mother Nature gives love., poetry by Yu/stan/kema, The little things in life matter., Unloved by Mothers.

Found on Facebook Timeline on 7-16-16.

Found on Facebook Timeline on 7-16-16.

I walked down to the meadow.

I saw a little girl in the grass.

Her eyes were like the sky,

After the storm clouds pass.

Her little lips were quivering,

With every breath she took.

“Why doesn’t mommy love me?”

She said with the saddest look.

“I give to her sweet flowers.

I give to her my heart.

But she often leaves me

When ever we’re apart.”

Her eyes were full of shadows.

Her heart was full of pain.

“Mommy even leaves me

Standing in the rain.”

“What is there about me,

That makes her hate me so?

She wishes she didn’t have me

All those years ago.”

Loneliness engulfed her

As her fingers hugged the ground.

Her tears flowed like a river,

That never makes a sound.

On her hair she felt,

The slightest gentle touch.

A butterfly had lit,

To say, “I love you, much.”

A smile curved round her lips,

As she sprung to her feet.

Joy grew on her face, and

Her countenance was sweet.

She ran in the sun-lit meadow,

And  her laughter filled the air.

” I know Mother Nature loves me,

And she is EVERY WHERE!”

Yu/stan/kema.
