A little girl with tattered clothes
Walked on the bombshelled ground.
Tears flowed down her dirt-stained cheeks.
She did not make a sound.

Bombs were falling from the sky.
Her body shook with fear,
And yet she kept on walking.
She had lost what she held dear.

She saw dead bodies in the street
And heard some soldiers laugh.
The Russians blew up what they could
And took things in their path.

She found a place to hide again
And packed herself in tight.
The cold stones protected her.
She slept through the night.

The sun came up to welcome her
And down the road she went.
She found no food or water
And her energy was spent.

She searched in vain for family
The war had ripped away.
She knew there was no one
Who would ask her to stay.

The emptiness she felt inside
Was like a giant hole.
Her faith in God had disappeared.
She feared for her soul.

War came to the streets of Kiev.
It would not stay the same.
Brave men would die and one small child
On the streets of Ukraine.

Deep sadness moves inside me

Found on Pinterest on 6-4-16. Sarah.

for the world is full of sorrow.

Inside me is uncertainty

about a good tomorrow.

I hear the cries of children

filled with hunger and pain

as they stay in cages

in a world gone insane.

There is so much sickness

and people are dying.

Our leaders shut their eyes

and keep on denying.

The Government engages in

out-right discrimination,

People wanting equal rights

protest and have frustration.

Found on Pinterest on 2-9-16. Helping hands.

Many have lost their jobs

and need a helping hand.

Don’t shame them as they ask.

Just try and understand.

Rise up men of courage

and work to make this right.

Help those who are hungry.

Remove a burden tonight.

To make a better world,

we must act to make it so.

Do constant acts of kindness

before the cold winds blow.

United we can conquer

the sadness and despair

of a world that is hurting

by showing that we care.

Sweet Lord, oh, dearest Lord,

Please hear my earnest prayer:

Keep safe my loved ones as they sleep.

Keep them in Your care.

Found on Pinterest on 6-11-17. Saved from meetup.com. Darkfire. Magic & Mysteries.

The world can be a scary place,

Full of so much darkness.

Bring them out into Your light

And fill them with Your kindness.

Give them strength to be true,

To the values they hold dear.

God will always be close by,

To take away each fear.

We shall one day overcome

The gulf that death imparts.

For God’s love conquers all

When He lives in our hearts.

When your heart is feeling anxious

Found on Facebook Timeline on 7-24-17. Country and Farm Photography. Taken by Carolyn Anderson.

And the world is spinning round,

When your legs keep on shaking

And your lips can’t make a sound,

Stop, whatever you are doing,

Sing a little song of joy.

Give thanks to God, The Father,

For the blessings of your boy.

When you feel like evil’s winning

And there’s nothing you can do,

Sing a song for the warrior

Who lives inside of you.

When you see that souls are hurting

And there’s nothing left to say,

Raise your voice and sing of comfort.

Hold them close for just a day.

Sing of beauty all around you:

How God paints the bluest sky

With the colors of the rainbow

When night is drawing nigh.

Sing a song of joy and laughter.

Sing of blessings from above

And spiritual connections

That reflect God’s greatest love.

Asylum, children, migrants, Poetry by Yu/stan/kema., the integrity of a country., The love of a mother for her child.

Shattered, she walked across the desert sand.

All she wanted was a safe place to land.

She had her child beside her

And she prayed they would endure

The violence they encountered

And the screams they had heard.

She kept her child protected,

Who had never been neglected.

She held her daughter deep within her heart.

They had never been apart.

They were seeking  food to eat

In the midst of summer’s heat.

She saw a line of migrants ahead

And followed them and put her child to bed.

She sat and talked with them by the fire.

They all shared a dream and the desire,

To find a land where they could all live free

And have a wondrous destiny.

She walked until her shoes

Left blisters and a bruise,

But it was worth what it took

To climb the hill and look.

She saw the USA in the morning light

And said, “we’re going to be alright.”

She went to the guard at the border’s gate.

She and her child had to stand and wait.

Someone came and took her child away.

They told her she could see her in a day.

She held her fears deep within her breast

And hoped, for her daughter, what was  best.

A year went by and still

The news made her ill.

Her daughter in a cage

Brought forth a mother’s rage.

The “great” USA

Is filled with decay.

Hey, little one with  sleepy eyes,

I’ll tuck you in tonight.

First, I’ll show you the stars outside,

And the moon shinning bright.

I’ll rock you to sleep with a symphony,

Found on Google+ on 10-31-15. Nabil Al Aroi.

Made by locusts and birds.

The frogs are singing along tonight.

Their songs do not need words.

The  sad sweet song of the Mourning Dove

Falls on the lovely night  air.

I touch the softness of your cheek.

Love leaves an imprint there.

I carry you back into your room,

And lay you down on your bed.

I thank The Lord for your sweet life,

As  I kiss your head.

Oh fly, fly little baby,

Fly, fly little one.

When the pain hurts too much,

Let go when day is done.

Rise up on wings of fairy dust

Found on Pinterest on 12-17-16. Stephen Hayward. Stars.

And dance among the stars.

Say hello to Venus,

And wave good-bye to Mars.

Lay back against the crescent moon,

And God will rock you to sleep,

As the angels sing you a lullaby

That would make a grown man weep.

The world can be a scary place

When you are small and alone.

Let God’s finger point the way

To a home you can call your own.

Don’t let go of the Hope inside.

Reach out with your tiny hand.

Trust in others to see you through

To find peace in the Promised Land.

children, Choices, Crossroads, Democracy, Poetry by Yu/stan/kema., Rise up, values, Vote.

The sun tries to set on our Democracy,

And we find ourselves at a crossroad.

We must decide what we want our children

And our Nation to stand for and reflect,

To the world that watches us.

Shall we reflect:

Freedom or Tyranny?

Honesty or Deception?

Charity or Hatred?

Rules of Law or Chaos?

Benevolence or Greed?

Acceptance of all or Discrimination?

Fairness or Cruelty?

Honor or Disrespect?

Good or Evil?

Which road will we choose?

How will history remember us?

Our destiny lies within each of us.

Make your voice heard.

Rise up and VOTE.

I’m going to feed you like a Mothering bird.

I’ll give you messages I’ve been taught,

Just so you’ll remember, you aren’t forgot.

I know it’s hard when you’re feeling scared.

Don’t fret little ones, we will be prepared.

We will keep you safe and not run away.

We are committed and we will stay.

So, close your eyes and dream of good things.

You’ll be surprised what commitment can bring.

Found on Facebook Timeline on 7-16-16.

Found on Facebook Timeline on 7-16-16.

I walked down to the meadow.

I saw a little girl in the grass.

Her eyes were like the sky,

After the storm clouds pass.

Her little lips were quivering,

With every breath she took.

“Why doesn’t mommy love me?”

She said with the saddest look.

“I give to her sweet flowers.

I give to her my heart.

But she often leaves me

When ever we’re apart.”

Her eyes were full of shadows.

Her heart was full of pain.

“Mommy even leaves me

Standing in the rain.”

“What is there about me,

That makes her hate me so?

She wishes she didn’t have me

All those years ago.”

Loneliness engulfed her

As her fingers hugged the ground.

Her tears flowed like a river,

That never makes a sound.

On her hair she felt,

The slightest gentle touch.

A butterfly had lit,

To say, “I love you, much.”

A smile curved round her lips,

As she sprung to her feet.

Joy grew on her face, and

Her countenance was sweet.

She ran in the sun-lit meadow,

And  her laughter filled the air.

” I know Mother Nature loves me,

And she is EVERY WHERE!”

Yu/stan/kema.
