Saving images.com: Lessons Learned in life.
Found on Google.

I am in my late 60’s and find that life is strange with it’s twists and turns. One of the good things about growing old, is the opportunity to see a long way back into the past and discern how events interlock with each other to create the life we lived, who we became and the lessons we learned along the way. Each person that we met played an important role in our lives. Even the ones we interacted with for an hour or those over a span of years. There were some that became the very building blocks of our lives: the grandmother who sang and rocked the wee ones when the mother had died; the high school teacher that took an interest in the writing abilities of a student who rarely spoke; and the therapist who took the time and the commitment to help a child find hope again after so much pain. The very experiences we endured or enjoyed throughout the years developed our character and pointed us towards our careers. Even the hardest experiences could bring forth such growth and goodness in being able to serve others, It makes me understand more about how much influence we can have in our interactions with people. Who we are does matter and whether we choose to give to others does make a difference.

Very tastefully said. Thank you for sharing. I have often taken the time to listen to my elders. I love to hear of their time. How they lived and what it was like for them as an individual. There is much to learn and grow from by each person who has formally paved the rugged path before us. I have so much respect and wonderment for anyone who has stepped before me. Thank you for your recognition and tribute to them as well.
