Alleluia to my King.”

 

I sing so that others know,

Even when the strong winds blow, 

My Faith rests in Him secure,

And I am able to endure,

The darkest night of the soul,

For He alone can make me whole.

Even when my body breaks,

Or my mind makes a mistake;

Or my soul gives up on love;

Or I’m no longer sure of,

Which way I want to go,

I still know He loves me so.

I may die alone in life,

Have days full of bitter strife,

Be forgotten by a friend,

 And lose my heart in the end.

Still I’ll know despite it all,

God will know I stood tall:

 

That I tried my very best,

To pass each and every  test.

I tried to love my neighbor well.

I sought to rise each time I fell. 

I gave to those who were in need.

God will see I lived my creed.
