She loved to allow the music

To flow inside her soul.

The notes would cause her spirit                         

To dance and she’d feel whole.

She knew if she became

The embodiment of a note,

It would warm her in the winter,

And cover her like a coat.

The melody of a song would                              

Cause her soul to take flight

And wing her toward heaven

To stand in God’s sight.

She would sing in His choir of angels,

A rare and heavenly song

And hold in her heart forever               

The knowledge she belonged.

Music was a way she could talk

And love God in a special way.

She came to see that music

Was a different way to pray.
