Light in the heart dies., Pinterest photo, poem by Francis William Bourdillon, Poem: "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes.", The dying sun's light., When love is done.

THE NIGHT HAS A THOUSAND EYES

The night has a thousand eyes,

       And the day but one;

Yet the light of the bright world dies

       With the dying sun.

The mind has a thousand eyes,

      And the heart but one;

Yet the light of a whole life dies

      When love is done.

THE LITTLE TREE.

Little tree in the forest,

Growing in the shadows

Of tall trees.

You try to stand so tall

Despite being dwarfed,

Cut off from the breeze.

It is a miracle you are

Still alive beneath

The huge canopy.

Somehow light gets through

So you can realize

Your God-sent destiny.

Needing to find the Universe within., Needing to let go., Pinterest photo quote- Bryant MCGill., Pinterest photo-Plfoto-co1, poetry by Yu/stan/kema, Searching for Self., Searching in all the wrong places., Simple Reminders.

I am lost in a world

Of people and sounds.

I drift without direction.

I am tossed like the wind

By a multitude of emotions

In a treacherous sea

Of helplessness and rage.

I am tired of waiting for that

Which does not exist

In a world filled

With conflict and strife.

I have searched in vain,

In all the wrong places,

For answers and peace.

I am in need of healing,

Healing of a different kind:

A healing of my soul,

And a letting go of

Attachments which

Blind me to who I am,

Apart from everything else.

I am tired of focusing

On things I cannot control,

Things that have happened,

A thousand lifetimes ago,

And broken promises

That cannot be fixed,

And love seldom found.

I return to my beginnings,

Where all things evolved.

Slowly and mindfully,

I move among

The dusty hallways of

My innermost soul,

To find a Universe within.

Dealing with reality., Learning to let go., Pinterest photos., poetry by Yu/stan/kema, The pain of waiting., Wanting Hope and Love.

Gentle is the night that falls

Upon a child’s waiting heart,

She waits by the curb awhile

And waits for her life to start.

Anticipating love to come,

She sits all through the night.

While keeping hope alive inside,

She turns toward the morning light.

Surely patience is the key,

To getting what she wants in life.

She waits and feels the rising pain.

Hurt cuts her with a sharp knife.

Time lets her know so cruelly,

The only one who loves is she.

She must let go of hope and love,

And set her own heart free.

Light a candle in the darkness.

Clear a path to freedom now.

Saving lives is most important.

Wipe the sweat from your brow.

Yes, the struggle can get lonely,

And the obstacles so huge.

But I know that you can do this.

Doubts can come like a deluge.

There are tasks to accomplish,

Things to say before you die.

God doesn’t ask for perfection.

He just wants you to try.

Deep within you lies the secret,

How to get these things done.

Do not stop or even falter,

Until victory is won.

When my heart has been troubled

And my soul shattered too,

Sometimes words can pierce the darkness

To help you see what is true.

There are times no words can say it:

All the pain that’s locked inside,

Or  the tears that flow forever,

That desperately you try to hide.

All you  see  behind are losses

And the things you’ll never have.

Disappointment brings forth  wounds,

That Badly need a healing salve.

Rarely, comes along a person

Who can understand your heart,

And the conflicts deep within

That can tear your soul apart.

But she sits down beside you,

Feels the awful pain you feel,

And just by her calming presence,

You  know you can begin to heal.

A single touch can light the darkness,

Bind the wounds that came  before,

And the healing in your soul

Causes you to trust, some more

Grief for this nation., Pinterest photo- Andrea McClain photography., poetry by Yu/stan/kema, Prayer for my country.

I weep for you, my Country,

For you are bleeding internally.

Divisiveness has invaded

Your very bones and vital organs.

Apathy has seized your heart,

And unresolved anger has caused you

To forget there is safety in numbers.

Fear and uncertainty has blinded you,

To the strength that lies within you.

Remember your beginnings.

You were not faint-hearted,

But full of steely resolve,

To see This Nation rise up

To meet its ongoing challenges

In its pursuit of Happiness,

Equality, and Freedom for All.

Strive to work together to

Bind up the wounds of

This once proud Nation.

Honor the differences that

Enable us to pull together

For the common good.

Put aside hatred and violence,

And believe once again in

The Power of the Human Spirit

To seek what is right and good.

All Americans have a difficult task before them.

To choose or not to choose, or stay silent.

I am reminded of the words that: ” to do nothing

ensures that evil will go on.”1

It takes a lot of courage to make a choice.

Years from now, we may look back

At this election and realize, that “Now,”

Was the critical moment in time for

Us to decide the fate of Our Nation,

And a  cherished way of life.

We decide to be a Nation with

Equality and Justice for All;

Discrimination towards None;

Having respect towards women;

Honoring  the Democratic Process

That we hold dear as Americans;

Fostering an attitude of unification;

Working together to solve problems,

And seeing the best in one another;

Or, we choose divisiveness for Our Nation;

Hatred and a refusal to accept responsibility

For our own actions;

Having an attitude of disrespect for women;

And mocking and disrespecting the Democratic

Process, and  those who are different from us.

Make no mistake.  We choose,

Or we remain silent, which also is a choice.

We choose to improve our Country or

Let others destroy it.

The fate of This Nation lies in Our hands.

Facebook Timeline photo- Johanna Hurand, Learn how to Ask For Help., poetry by Yu/stan/kema, Take care of Self when loving others.

I felt the sorrow rise in me

And knew I was no longer free,

For I, a prisoner made of me

When I could no longer see,

Me, my Self, apart from Thee.

Love took my dignity.

I thought I’d learn from the past,

And find maturity at last,

And work hard at the task

Of finally learning how to ask

For what I need and do it fast.

But the dice had been cast.

Leaving me to deal with fate,

And no way to communicate,

That I was willing to wait

And make this love great,

And not something second-rate.

But, It was too late.

I was walking in the forest

As the moon lit up the night,

I saw a fellow-creature

Move out of sight.

I felt compelled to follow,

This creäture of the wild.

He turned  and looked at me,

Like I was just a child.

I walked the path he took,

And rested when he did.

I searched for a little food;

Lay flat, when he hid.

His fur was thick and beautiful,

His body sleek and fine.

He carried so much power.

He seemed to walk through time.

He seemed to scan the forest

With far-reaching eyes.

When he looked into my face,

I knew that he was wise.

We developed a friendship,

Apart from humankind.

Wolf was there to save me,

When I lost my mind.

All he did was be there,

Beside me as I healed.

No demands were made.

Our brotherhood was sealed.

He  let me be myself.

He never thought me weak.

When filled with pain and sorrow,

He encouraged me to speak.

The years passed so quickly,

And then Wolf died.

I felt I had but lost it all–

So empty inside.

I wept, and thought,

This cannot be!

The Wolf Spirit

Moved in me!!
