Slow flows the river

Of life to the sea

Where the arms of

Jesus waits for me,

 

To tuck me in                                  

Under his wings.

He rocks me to sleep

In the heavenly breeze.

 

The angels sing softly,

A lullaby song,

And rest comes swiftly

As He sings along.

 

Safe in the arms of

He who is good,

He knows I’ve done

All that I could;

 

To live a life giving,                            

So others might know,

Love flows freely

In the winds that blow.

 

Tenderly He closes

My eyes for the night,

Until I wake up

To heaven’s pure light.
