Lord, that seeks to cast out darkness

And bring forth the light within,

Come and  cleanse my soul tonight,

And remove my dirt and sin.

 

Bring the magic of the moonlight          

Down upon the waters deep.

Light the stars in the darkness,

And I’ll watch them as I sleep.

 

Roll aside the lingering shadows.

Open up my soul wide.

Allow the presence of Your Spirit

To  remove my useless pride.

 

I will bow my head in silence,

And seek to hear Your voice.

Lead me to the gates of heaven

And a reason to rejoice.
