THE UPS AND DOWNS OF LIFE.
Have you ever had a day

That seemed in disarray,
That no matter what you did,
You acted like a kid?
Have you ever had an hour
Where you felt you had no power,
And others had control
Of your anxious heart and soul?
Have you ever had a minute
Where you felt you were not in it,
And your mind turned upside down,
While you looked like a clown?
And despite how hard you tried,
People said that you had lied,
About being strong,
When days were long?
They could not understand
That you needed someone’s hand,
To get up from the floor
So that you could learn to soar.
They mistakenly thought
That you needed nought,
For you were so contained
As the hours waned.
What they failed to see,

And you needed some support
To help you finally sort:
The good friends from the bad,
The blessings you’ve had,
