A child of Sorrow
Holds so much pain,

Knowing innocence
Will never come again.
For evil lurked
Where love dwelt,
Erased the trust,
And killed the joy felt.
A child of Terror
Holds so much fear,

Afraid to breathe
Or even shed a tear.
For hate had taken
All hope to please,
And left a child begging
On bended knees.
A child of Despair is
Filled with memories
She can’t forget.
She sits under trees
Needing nourishment.
She turns inward
To protect her self
From what occurred.
A Child of Emptiness,
Holds few emotions
Inside her heart.
She does not know
What’s tearing her apart.
Her thoughts are a mess.
She has no hope of getting
A bit of tenderness.
