Most things found in Nature sing.

Sometimes the song is soft and quiet,

Or It can be felt as a soothing vibration.

But Nature sings, nonetheless, a song of joy.

Trees bend, trunks sigh, and branches crack

In the wind, ice,  and storms of life.

Leaves shake and dance in the wind.

Streams flow with a murmur or a roar.

Waterfalls splash and lake water laps

Against the  rocky shores.

Raindrops splatter as they fall on the dead leaves,

And pine needles lying on the forest floor.

Lightning crackles, thunder rolls, and booms,

The wind sighs, moans, or shrieks  when

Storm clouds race across a dark gray sky.

Chipmunks and squirrels scurry out of the rain.

Birds fill the air with melodious bird calls:

Wrens sound like sewing machines,

Towhee birds sing, “Drink your tea,”

Blue jays  scream at other birds,

And Thrushes make a flute-like sound.

Cardinals sing, “Cheer, cheer, cheer.”
