There are trees everywhere                           

Of every shape, kind, and color.

The sound of the West wind  

Gently touching the green leaves

Is quieting,

And rocks my soul to sleep.

The birds are getting ready for the night,

And small quiet chirps fill the air. 

They will be settling their feathers

Around their children when night comes.

They let their loved one’s know

“It’s time for rest.”

My soul quiets and shuts down                     

To sleep.
