Everyone needs a kind word or two

To help cheer the way when life gets hard.

When somebody is feeling lonely and blue,

It doesn’t cost money to make a  nice card.

Nor does it take a lot of your time,

To smile and be friendly to someone in pain.

Throw words together to make them rhyme.

You have nothing to lose and much to gain.

Whoever you help, will count you a blessing:

Lighten their load if just for a moment;

Add something to their life  that’s missing;              

                                                                                                      Revive hope now lying dormant;                

Spread a little of needed good cheer,

And make the world a better place.

A smile could easily last for a year,

And a gentle touch on a weary face

Could open a soul to God’s grace.
