A Wise Old Owl
A wise old owl sat on an oak.
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard;
Why aren’t we like that wise old bird?

THE FEAST
Those who are not mine
I will dine and flatter,
Entertain and strive to please,
For they do not matter.
But for friendship’s feast
Compliments demean us;
Rock for seat and sky for roof
And the truth between us.
