A little girl is here to stay

And grabs us with her winsome ways.

Her curls are bouncing on her head.

She charms us with the poems she’s read.

She dances on her tiny feet

And never seems to miss a beat

When singing songs she sings out loud.

I know her Mother would be proud.

She wraps us right around her heart

When ever we see tear drops start.

She’s  careful with her little doll,

And never seems to mind at all

When we have to discipline

Her when she’s having so much fun.

God gave us such a priceless pearl

When he sent us this small girl.
