I am part spirit and I crave

The limitless of space.

I yearn to soar and feel the wind

Against my tearful face.

I need to make you understand,

I’m grounded for a time

Upon this earth to do His will.

Yes, I’ve been left behind.

I yearn to see God in your smile

And hear Him in your voice.

I want to feel His loving touch,

Find reasons to rejoice.

Forgive me for seeking Him

In all you say and do;

For wanting spirit-driven things

To prove God’s love is true.

Forgive this heavy burden placed

Upon your small frame

For God has put us here on earth

His great love to proclaim.

We are both connected in

A very special way.

We’re part of God’s  family.

He lives in us today.
