Sometimes I find myself  deeply submerged in the words of men and women who lived before me or who are still writing- Giants in philosophy, literature, and religion. The words they write resound in the chambers of my heart and soul and I am shaken by their wisdom and experience. The words they write dance in the consciousness of my mind. The rhythm of words synchronizes with the beat of my heart. The beauty and the magic that they create is like a gift and I receive it with trembling hands and a humble heart. How can any one adequately describe the joy and peace their words bring to a soul as starved as mine for enlightenment? For a while, I am infused with peace and serenity.  I walk today in their footsteps across the corridors of time. My soul flies with them to the stars and I find myself reluctant to take the trip back to the earth. I am touched by their compassion and their skill to get right to the heart of an issue. How does one adequately say: “Thank you for making my soul sing?” “Thank you for bringing joy into my life?” I am blessed because of the gift they gave.
